His Story

Peanut was surrendered to our center after it was noticed by a neighbor that after a family had moved out, they had kicked the cat outside and left him behind. Peanut travelled all the way from Wisconsin to our rescue in Chicago when there was no nearby shelters or rescues. Peanut had no food outside and was at risk due to the native wildlife. Peanut was extremely matted when he entered our facility, with knots in his fur down to his skin. He was sad and uncomfortable, but after we groomed him here, a whole other side of his personality began to reveal itself. Peanut is extremely affectionate. He loves cuddles. Peanut went through a significant medical procedure upon arrival and is extremely picky with food. For months, Peanut had to be fed on a feeding tube. He now strictly eats dry food and tuna.

His Sponsorship

Peanut will need sponsoring for his daily needs at the center, including for his food, housing, and medical care. Enrichment is also very important so Peanut can decompress. Care packages with toys and treats for comfort and play are especially appreciated. Peanut is also litter trained and will need clumping litter for his tray.

To help with Peanut’s essential and comfort items, see his wish list here: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/34IUR4LPSHY1L?ref_=wl_share
